i started playing the sims 3 but there really dsnt seem to be too much furniture for it i have a wish that says buy a hot tub but i do not even see a hot tub to buy will more of these items unlock the further i get into the game?

In the sims 3 pc game do you unlock more furniture as you progress?

you get more furniture from buying the expansion packs and the hot tub is one of them, without the expansion packs you cant buy a hot tub
