Any 'fiction' movies that were based within real life events..

Does anyone know any films like this (title).

For example, 'Titanic' was a true life event but the Rose and Jack story is purely fiction (despite the director doing research later after film completion and finding out that someone boarded the titanic called Jack Dawson-weird!).

What others movies are like that? I guess 'Moulin Rouge' is one as that location exists but whether Satine's story happened is unknown.

another movie attempting to cash in on Titanic's idea was Pearl Harbour.
I quite liked the real side of it, the bombing of the ships scenes and the other historical aspects where excellent. but the love story element was just awful.
