Can you tell us why SLC Punk would make a good animated series?
For me, I always wanted an animated series based on 3 Ninjas. The premise just begged to become animated, and it came out at the height of TMNT's popularity so it would have had that built in audience to carry it at least for a season or two.
The Big Lebowski, without a doubt. Kind of like a Scooby Doo mystery cartoon. Sporadically, Donnie would appear as a ghost to help out The Dude and Walter.
Star Wars. Granted, we have one now, but they can't seem to get away from the Clone Wars. I would have preferred a series following the further adventures of the gang after Episode IV. I believe the cartoon in the infamous Holiday Special was created as a pilot to test for a series. Not sure why it didn't go through.
Also, an Indiana Jones animated series. Lucas once stated it was a "possibility" for the future, and I doubt we'll ever actually see one, but it would be cool. Though only if done old school animation and not CGI.
I used to think that a Darkman animated series aimed at an adult audience would be awesome. This was around the time when HBO was showing Spawn and Spicy City, and after reading a couple of Darkman books and having been a fan of the first movie, I thought a cartoon would work. I remember doing little faux-Timm style drawings of it and everything.
I always thought Pirates would be a good cartoon on disney to do adventures of Jack Sparrow. Thought they were doing one but guess not.
Evil Dead aimed for mature audiences might be neat for something like adult swim or Scifi or spike.
Especially since they have a line of toys and other merchandise that utilize a very cartoony look.
I wish we would've gotten Roger Rabbit cartoon show instead of Bonkers.
A Nightmare before Christmas cartoon series would've been fun to see as well.
Just be thankful no one asked for an animated AVP series.
I was very surprised that Harry Potter didn't get a cartoon series back in its heyday.
