Documents to Go in ROM

Afternoon Folks,

My OS 5 handheld came with Doc's to Go version 6 pre-installed. I upgraded to version 7. Now two copies show within my file manager .......... one (version 6) in ROM and the other (version 7) in RAM. I cannot delete the older version b/c it is in ROM. Is this an issue, is there anything I can do?

Any words of wisdom here?

No, the version that is in RAM takes precedence over the one that is in ROM.

Hi,

I figure you are using the T5? Boy am I glad I'm still sticking with the T3. With the T3 I'm able to sprat the older DTG6 outta my T3. Then flash The nwer DTG7 into the rom. According to Paul, the T5 doesnt support spratting. You gotta let the master of sprats and flash give you some words of wisdom.

I have a T3. I currently have JackFlash on my handheld and actually purchased JackSprat years ago but have never really used it.

Can you let me know what to do in detail? How do I remove and then even more importantly ........how do I get the newer components into ROM (and do I want to)?

Hi,

I know for sure all of the DTG can go into flash. I don't have my palm with me at the moment. But as long as it isn't a db then it should work fine in rom (most db don't work in flash). In addition you should have read that pTunes doesnt work in flash.
