how do i format my lg cu500 for my memory card to work?

i formated it on my computer and it didnt work it just says card not ready

you need to format it in your phone.
Formatting the memory card will erase everything on it and sync the card to your specific phone. Insert the card into the phone and the steps should be something very similar to these:
menu>
settings and tools>
memory>
card memory>
and then there will be a soft key for "options"
then format
