if you get a speeding ticket do you have to go to court if there is a court date set?

there is a court date written out, but the box that says personal appearance is left unchecked, do you have to go to court still if you pay the fine? or is that just if you want to dispute it?

No, you only have to go to court to dispute the ticket. It is saying that you have until that date to pay it or fight it.

NO! i got a $300 ticket for speeding & i have to do 8 hours of community service & pay a $47 fine. You do not have to pay the entire amount! Ask the court that you want community service!

If the box is not checked, you can just pay the fine instead of paying. You can contact the court clerk if you want to be sure.
