Thanks mcel
Plan 9 is the Granddaddy of the low budget movie and while the posters for it may have been in colour the film was definitely shot in classic black and white-

...just as an aside, as I know it's not B & W,
but I just have to mention Jason and the Argonauts. It was the first of his films I saw, as a kid - my mum took me to see it when it came out. I'd never seen anything like it. I know it seems a bit clunky now, in our CGI world, but at the time it was incredible. I was gobsmacked.
I so wanted a tree house too. In my dreams it was a kind of cross between Tarzan's and the one in the Swiss Family Robinson
My only excuse is that I am not British...
But I will look for it now.
Relaxing is just code for boring
My Fave War Movie is 'The Longest Day' (B&W)
My Fave Ghost Movie is 'The Haunting' (B&W)
My Fave Comedy Movie is 'Some Like it Hot' (B&W)
Black & White movies are OK. Except for Casablanca which is just boring.
The 39 steps (1935 Robert Donat version) is on BBC2 right now if anyone's interested.
Anyone mentioned - The Beast With Five Fingers?
And they don't have to be thrillers, either - there's some good comedies: My Favourite Blonde/Brunette Bob Hope etc.
***** and white films? do you mean black and white or something else?
