Holy Grail or Life of Brian?

I just got Life of Brian on DVD. Such a funny film, but the wife insists that Holy Grail is better. So, which one is funnier in your opinion or are they both as good as each other?

Life of Brian was spoiled for me by channel 4 when they showed it as part of their "Banned" season umpteen years ago. i went in expecting to be shocked by the so called offensive humour in it, but I wasn't. I'm not saying it wasn't funny, because it's hilarious but I was lead to believe it was something it wasn't (kind of like most "controversial" things)

Holy Grail does have a lot of off moments but the last scene where the police show up and arrest everyone always gets me.

Just in case you didn't follow that, I prefer "The Holy Grail"

i saw life of brian when i was a kid and used to really like it but i prefer the holy grail now-everything from the ingmar bergman credits to the mudeaters i am also a huge fan of "the meaning of life" but not many people seem to like that one (except mr creosote)

Life of Brian !, all the way, The Holy Grail is great, but for some reason i prefer Life of Brian !, especially the scene where the Roman guard helps Brian spell Romans Go Home !
