i have tried researching forums online literally ALL DAY. i must not have any luck, but here goes.. i own a '96 honda civic ex mt.

i have a 1st generation jdm B16A bottom block with PR3 internals. it has a scratch in a cylinder wall, which means i have to bore the block out to 82mm. if i buy oversized 82mm pistons, the rods should work fine right? or would i have to mill the rods? what is my best option for pistons in this case?

since i have an OBD2 car, i know i'll need an OBD2 head.

so my other question is, does it specifically matter what B16 cylinder head i shop for? what makes them different from each other? for instance, if i find a killer deal on a B16A1 head could i swap parts to make it work like a B16A2 head? how are the B16A heads different for OBD2 cars like mine? would a B16A2 head mate a 1st gen B16A block? i heard somewhere they have different oil passages or something.

hopefully i made this clear enough to understand. thanks in advance.
