Scott Hull definitely would be in the top ten best guitarists for me.

as for the other nine, that would take much thought. so many styles, banRAB, time perioRAB...

SRV, Eric Clapton
DOH i forgot donais and bechand....im not a big fan of satch.
Jimi Hendrix was not really a technically brilliant guitar player, but he definitely had the most talent and i still think he is the best ever. Also, he had only been making music with the hendrix experience for 4 years before he died at the age of 28, so no one has any idea of what kind of new stuff he could have come up with and how much better he could have been.
Don't worry, we hate you too.
...and probably overlooked.....Alex Lifeson of Rush.....technically excellent, but some of his solos are amazing...just my opinion.!
funny guy.
But did Johnny Ramone hump his amp?
we could only hope :tramp:
okay, i know a lot of you havent heard of Malmsteen, but he does rank as the best, I dont rank Hendrix as the best soloist, nowhere near. Neither do i put clapton up there... I go for melody mainly, not speed, but malmsteen has both, hendrix has neither... it's incoherent and messy most of the time, although, i will admit - some of the stuff is excellent... Paige has perfect melodies. Van halen has the speed...
1. Yngwie Malmsteen
2. Jimmy Paige
3. Eddie Van Halen
