ah yes tool is another master of the long songs, ive heard the new cd is amazing...do u concur?
Rock is based upon the blues scale and metal used classical influences too. Madness are Ska which is based upon reggae and rocksteady which has nothing whatsoever to do with rock music. The roots can be traced back to African folk music.
Fun fact.
The term "Selling out" is a complete logical fallacy when used in the context of popular music discussion.
woot...tool...takes up 1 - 10 for me :P
I agree with your law.
Here where I live Russia if people do not agree with leaders they are banned from speaking and put in jail to stop freedom of expression.
Because too much expression undermines the people in control and this cannot happen if there is to be control and peace and the leaders are to control what is said.
It isn't fair if people with views dangerous to the status quo express these views as others may then agree and this will undermine the people who control and their views.
This person obviously believed in free speech and expressing their opinion and that is wrong as in my country they would be banned so they cannot speak no longer.
I agree that people with views that are different to the leaders lead to trouble and we have a funny word for them here in Russia. We call them "freedom liberals"
How come no meraber put Boney M?
I love the song about Rasputain and we always play that here in my country.
More power to the controllers and ban the free thinkers.
Moron is all I need to say here.
We would be here all day. Just admit your evil judgmental ways and I'll be happy.
Wtf? Refused to do what now? I've already told you I listen to a wide range of rock, it just so happens that once my exploring was over, I haven't found anything better than prog-metal. If I "refused to take my musical tastes elsewhere" then why did I start listening to rock in the first place? Initially I was only into classical.
Apology not accepted...suck without Levin? rofl. He had nothing to do with any of the compositions, it was all Petrucci and Rudess. Levin could have been replaced with any bassist, but having him in just made it cooler and all super-goupey.
