In 2008, a high school teacher named Mrs.Boyd decided to look into Internet networking sites like Facebook and Myspace. Her research provided that users of the sites are using social network sites to build community, connect with their peers, and through it, they are showcasing all of the good, the bad and the ugly of todays teen life. Just like the world we live in, this internet world has social classes. There are scholars and dropouts, rich and poor, kids who are popular and kids who just want to be. And just like in our real world, there are people who are out to cause trouble.

Sometimes, these online trouble makers become real life criminals. They are the kidnappers, rapists and stalkers the media loves to talk about. They always claim that websites are to blame. In reality, these websites shouldn't be blamed for the careless and thoughtless actions made by certain individuals in our world today. Myspace was not created to ruin or jeopardize peoples' lives, it was created so people can communicate with their family and friends online. There are many different ways to have a myspace, stay safe, and prevent meeting these online predators, But unfortunately there are some individuals out there who abuse the purpose of Myspace, and give it a bad name. But when you really look at the facts about this website, there are more good qualities than bad.

So lets make sure we are completely safe. Lets ban myspace, facebook- maybe the internet all together. Lets stay inside our houses at all times. We can chainlock our doors and bar our windows. We can stop doing anything that could put us in danger and we can keep these criminals leading our lives. No, that would be stupid.

Instead lets be smart. Lets live our lives but most importantly lets stay as safe as possible while doing it. As in life, online communities have more than just a few ways to do this. When making a myspace, it is or should be very clear that you shouldn't put any info to personal on your page, and if you do then you have the option to make your myspace private. This private option allows only your friends to see your page, if you do not accept someone they are unable to access your page. They also block common search terms that most predators use to find their victims. These are just to name a few of the safety options Myspace offers. Donna Rice Hughes, the president of Enough is Enough(a group that is working to make the internet safer for kids), gives her opinion: The technology and child safety software and policies that theyve put into Myspace have made it safer. It has learned how to protect kids from naivet.

Before Myspace there were chat rooms, before chat rooms there were telephones and before that predators found their victims the old fashioned way. No matter where you go, perverts will still be perverts and stalkers will still be stalkers. There has always been evil in the world and there always will be. The internet doesnt make criminals, genetics and the society we live in does. That is the same society that users of these websites live in. So how can we blame websites for our problems? Are they forcing people in engage in inappropriate actions? It is time to for people stand up and responsibilities for their own actions.

i have good idea but i feel likes its all over the place, how can i rearrange it to make it stronger?
