also- i am very successful at getting LGs to OTA...wonder why there is such an issue?
btw- what model did you have the 8550 listed as? CPE? i would like to download evdo from OTA.

Samsung 670 and 720
i don't follow the post about MIN1/MIN2 are they saying there are 2 MIN's and 1 MDN for each account? Or did the guy just not know his MIN and MDN could be different?
Some markets have issues with OTASP for flashed phones.
No conclusive solution has been discovered as to why.
:befuddled
i'm in teh same market as cellkeeper there is no otasp issues here, despite what he keeps posting.
I put the 8550 as CPE LG Chocolate 2. the account did not even have WAP on it.
also i have one slvr that won't get evdo through OTA, but I have another that does. same thing i am activating r500s and ROKRs that wont take evdo prls when i *228 them. I haven't figured out if there is a pattern to it or not yet.
i wonder if its something with having WAP enabled on an account.
my 8550 wouldn't OTA out of the box. you're doing *228 not *22804 right?
seems he didn't know they could be different...some phones have more than one location for MIN...i think that is what he meant by MIN1 and MIN2...there are two plces to enter it on LGs and the area code is seperate form the nuraber...MIN1=area code MIN2=other 7 digits...
have you guys tried setting the MIN/MDN to six zeros and four random nurabers?
i do this on any phone that has a preexisting MIN because OTA doesn't like a lot of MINs...i always use 0000008867 as MIN/MDN...works every time...
if you look at new phones, they all come with six zeros and four other nurabers...
OTA'd 3 flashed phones today. We're in Albuquerque. What market are you in? Maybe it's a local issue?
So flashed phones can't get roaming on them?
