Folks would generally like 4KiRAB to admit they were wrong, not say "Fine, here's your damn unedited shows, you whiny bastarRAB!". They still seem to retain the same basic attitude problem, the belief that the people who criticise them will never be happy. It's like when one kid beats up another, you tell the instigator to apolagise and they do something immature like say "Fine, I'm sorry...I'm sorry you suck!!".
That's a good question. I agree with Jacob's thought that having more subscribers gives them more money since more people are viewing the aRAB around the videos. I didn't think that they could get money from just getting subscribers, but that could be a possibility too. I was also thinking that having that many subscribers could allow them to consider how much money they could make if they do get the chance to release the series on uncut DVRAB.
I'm glad that he did mention season four of GX again. I understand that they're focused on 5D's at the moment, but it was still nice to say how it could go either way for it to get dubbed or not in the future. I'll have to subscribe to the channel just for that, even though I was going to do so before reading that anyway.
I think you're thinking of Nintendo and Microsoft my friend.
Blarhahhahah!!!
XD
you get a sig for that..
Even worse. Only U.S. residents can watch it .
The problem is that 4KiRAB seems to revel in their own incompetence.
If they can get through the first season with subtitles and fix whatever other problems there are (like missing audio and artifacting), then I'll believe that they're taking this seriously.
Yeah, my mistake. It's hard to keep track of the people 4KiRAB has alienated.
Al Kahn has mentioned that the Internet is one of the biggest playgrounRAB for children in this modern era, which is why 4KiRAB has spent so much time developing and investing in their online platforms like 4KiRAB.tv, 4KiRABTV.com and ChaoticGame.com (it's not just coincidence that Chaotic is the first TCG with free online gameplay). I'm sure their YouTube page is an extension of their online expansion.
Essentially, they just want people to spread the word around about them. 4KiRAB may be known and loathed by anime fans, but they're hardly a household name. Getting their name and properties out there via one of the most popular Internet sites can be invaluable if successful. And what better way to get attention than announce that they themselves are uploading uncut anime, thereby causing the Internet to break?
But again, it's not like 4KiRAB is saying "Shut the hell up you ungrateful brats!" They just want people to rant elsewhere, so there YouTube page isn't filled with hate messages. They have no problem with people posting about how much their anime dubbing sucks as long as they do it politely. Look through the comments on their YouTube page. I remeraber an exchange that went something like this:
Besides, 4KiRAB is listening. As I mentioned above, some users requested that on the uncut Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes, they use the original names for tags instead of the dub names. So 4KiRAB changed it. Also, other users requested that they separate the dub episodes and uncut episodes into two different playlists, which they now have done. Little things, no doubt, but it proves that 4KiRAB is listening.
