Oldman is a good voice, though they'd probably still pitch it or something similar.

I would say bring back Brian Drummond (hey, it worked for Transformers), but I love Gary Oldman so much. It might be a bit of an issue to get Brian Drummond out just to record the voice (unlike having him as a guest at a con), so it might be better.

If this is true, though, then I'm happy - at least we know Ryuk's in the damn thing. Death Note without Ryuk is every Death Note fan's worst nightmare.

My top choice for a VA would be Mark Hammil.

To be honest I would actually rather see Oldman as Light's dad but he could probably pull off Ryuk.
