The end of Deceraber 2008 I had a C5-6 disc replacement using the prodisc replacement. Within two weeks of the surgery for the disc replacement the xrays revealed that C6-7 had gone from Mild prior to the disc replacement to severe disc height loss and spurring on the disc below the disc replaced. Is this common so soon after a disc replacement? Within 4 weeks of the 1st surgery, January 29, 2009, I was back in the surgery room and had a fusion of the disc below C5-6 on C6-7. With the costs of surgery and doctors this was a very big costs to my insurance carrier and myself. Are there different sizes of these discs? The xray report also says after the C6-7 surgery where they fused the disc that there was persistent left C6-7 bony foraminal stenosis secondary to uncovertebral spurring still present. I was looking for the spurring to have been removed when he went in again. Can anyone give some advice?
