Which phone to get for an elderly person? (GSM)

I know there's another thread asking the same thing but they were asking about CDMA but I need one for GSM phone. I'm trying to get a phone for my dad, which he is currently using the RZR V3. The receiption sucks and I need a phone that has excellent reception, good screen clarity (so he can see what he's punching on the keypad and preferably bigger screen for better visbility) and easy to use interface. I don't need any of the cameras or multimedia features, since he won't be using them.

I was looking into the Sony Ericisson phones (W600i) or the Nokia and was wondering what models were good? I'm looking to spend no more than $200 (he's already on a new contract) and I need this phone to work well with T-Mobile here in Los Angeles.

Any recommendations would be great and thanks!

w600 is good, nice big screen. cant think of any others really lol...

w600 is a nice phone..but as a basic/solid phone, i'd recommend nokia 6103 or moto v360..
