No, you don't get it. The PS3 is supposed to be a hot next generation system. This is still the very beginning of it's lifecycle, the production output is a lot lower, and the demand is supposed to be very high for it. Well, so much for that, considering the product is now available (and STILL available despite the fact that it's being advertised all over the internet) on the nation's #1 retail electronic store's website. Do you not understand what that means? This is the system that launched with 120,000 UNITS. If the demand is so high for this system, it should NOT be readily available. How else will you Sony fanboys spin this? Look at the facts. Look at the other launches, even back to the last generation. How long was it before these systems were readily available?
It is kinda funny that stores like Best Buy have PS3's in abundance and they're just sitting there untouched.
Sony really F'ed up on the price. BIG TIME.
i finally found a wii last week, i played for 1 hour total, then i stop playing for abuot a week now.
In my own completely worthless opinion, yes and no.
Even If they stripped out the BD player, media slots, HDMI, WLAN, BT, and slapped in a 20gb drive and priced it at the same price point as the 360 it would still probably wouldn't sell like some would assume. It would sell more, but still the release timing, and not having any killer apps available, in my eye, is what kicks the Ps3 square in the nuts.
