You may want to take a look at the thread @ iandroid.co.il and also contact 20lives who seemed to be able to find a workaround for G1s with modified RC30.

I am also very interested in G1 Hebrew Support but I understand it is only through a firmware update. I have rc30 so I think I would not be able to do it till they get root. Oof. Any chance it will happen through another path? Thanks.

I will pay your $ 25, if you can make the hebrew free to all, I personaly would be glad to buy the hebrew formaly with supports and update at a price value of $ 25-30. I wish I could help you more but I am a trader not programmer. Will take you to fly my helicopter in Herzliya if you make the hebrew fast, 30 minutes be my guest, this is $ 200 value present for your efforts
