Pretty nice, but with only 1 minute segments, barely anything gets to happen before they end.

What is everyone going to be behind this attack?
Chapter 6: Face-Off with the Foot
Yep, definitely seems like they're trying to incorporate all the major villains from Back to the Sewer...
Chapter 7: Rivals Take Arms
And with this chapter, Mayhem From Mutant Island is over halfway done.
Man, these episodes are short. I guess they made them that way so they could tide fans over until the DTV in a few months. It's clear by the music cues and dramatic shots that these were meant to be shorts and isn't merely a cut-up TV episode.
The shorts themselves are nothing special but its nice to have a little bit extra of animation, especially given this particular TMNT universe is gone forever.
Makes me wish that if there ever is a third TMNT cartoon in the future, they sorta make it as a sequel to the 2k3 series rather than doing another reboot.
Sequel or reboot, I really wouldn't care as long as it was good. I also think that the TMNT franchise should take a break for 2-5 years before someone starts another one up again. It seems pretty obvious to me that the creative well was beginning to run dry by the time of Fast Forward, TMNT should take a break.
Yes, but FF was a mandate from the toy company.
There are still plenty of comics that were never adapted into episodes, so even if the writers themselves have nothing new, they could always take the stories from the comics.
It does seem though the TMNT franchise will be taking a 5 year or so break. I wonder if 4kids will still be in business 5 years from now. If not, looks like TMNT will be partnered with a different animation company.
Which wouldn't concern me as long as the new series was enjoyable. I liked the 4Kids version of TMNT, but they're not the only company who should be allowed to tackle the franchise. I enjoyed the 2007 CGI movie, which wasn't canon to the 4Kids series at all.
