My other phone recognizes the sim card but the new Iphone that I bought doesn't. It keeps saying "No Sim card installed".
I am on the pay as you go plan. Is this the reason why it does not recognize my sim card?

I do not have a data plan yet.
According to the iphone, the company it is under is Fido... so it should work right?

is this new iphone you have unlocked?
if its not, it won't recognize a SIM from another company.
