bkgrnd info ( 69 mustang, 351W 5.8 2BBL) Basically my voltage regulator keeps testing bad no matter how many times i swap it out. Basically whats happening is since its not working its not telling the alternator to recharge the battery, it just goes until the battery dies to the point that it wont even make a clicking noise. not only that but when i try to jump it off it fries the solenoid and automatically tries to start the car *sigh* I am assuming its a wiring harness problem? Is there any suggestions or cheap fixes. I thought maybe one of those alternators with an internal voltage regulator?
Well i took it to autozone (lol) and the battery tested fine along with the starter and the alternator. Just the regulator that keeps failling. and then burnign out the solenoid
