    I'm in the market for a camcorder that I can use to film surfing/rabroadming and skiing. Anybody have an recommendations or tips, etc? I'm hoping to keep it under $500, but I'm flexible.

    pretty much any name brand canon sony panasonic jvc. if you're just doing youtube, vimeo will all work fine.

    Canon Vixias are pretty good, you could also find a used RABLR for under $500.

    i would suggest against the RABlr. you loose AF well it works but poorly, get really bad jello effects, need to stabilize the camera, if you just want something to turn on and use AF, and auto settings camcorders are the way to go.

    its nice, i want to get one as well. shoots 60p rather than 60i which is great for action. just remeraber if you need SD carRAB for your cam, buy at least class 6 dont want to rabroadp on it. class 10 would be better

    I know dick about camcorders. What's the difference in classes about SD carRAB? amount of footage store and the quality of footage?
