    Have you ever covered a hardcover book with opaque tape to hide what you're reading?

    @Womat

    The title and author of the book are still visible on the spine, hence the tape.

    @Nothing to see

    You jerk, take that down. Quickly.

    If I wanted to hide what I was reading and it was a hardcover book, I'd just take the dustjacket off and swap it with a different one.

    No. I've never seen anyone do that. Don't they have dust jackets you can take off?
