I'm a beginner, and I know my basic punches, jabs, hooks, kicks, and knees. I plan to practice a few hours each day shadowboxing and on a punching bag, connecting my strikes in different ways, focusing on form, fluidity, timing, and stamina. I also plan to learn from sources and videos online.

If I do these things, how much improvement can I expect in two months? Am I likely to develop bad habits if I practice for too long against the punching bag and not a live person?
