    Just cut them with a scissor at the desired length.

    For me, the simplest and cheapest way is to just cut them with a good pair of scissors at whatever length you want.

    Depends on the style you want. You can just cut them off to the length you need and they'll eventually fray after you wash them a couple times. Or you can cut them off and fold the bottom, sew them, and create a hem. (Frayed)Cut offs are back in style, so I would just do it that, its much easier.
