bluetooth headset queries!?

I recently got a Madcatz bluetooth headset for my ps3. Got it to work ok first time.
My problem is this, while im on cod waw and a friend signs in that i need to talk to, why doesn't my headset connect with my ps3 when i turn it on in game? do i have to hit the ps button and connect it manually via bluetooth settings from the xmb every time i need to use it? i had a 360 ages ago and the headset would register as soon as it was powered up or plugged in.
Is there a way to get it to auto connect as soon as it's switched on?

for 3rd party accessories, no. but if you get the official Sony blu2th, maybe yes. I'm not sure. But cmon, it's not so difficult to connect a headset to a PS3.

It doesn't do cross-game team speak. You must be on the same game to be able to talk to each other on the Mic.

And don't be lazy, just when you turn on your PlayStation 3 (the best game system) just enable the bluetooth headset.
