Which motorcycle should I get; the Yamaha V-star 1100, or the new V-star 950?

A friend of mine has an 1100 that I like to ride. The 950 is longer and lower, and looks really cool, but I haven't ridden one yet. I've gotten to like riding my bud's bike, and it has something to do with the weight which I've not only adjusted to, I actually seem to enjoy manuevering the slightly heavier bike around town (compared to my light 650).

Do you think I should play it safe and get an 1100 like my bud's, or take a chance and get the 950, which looks really cool? Thanks.

As you already pointed out and know, deep down.
A bike has to fit the rider or it will not be any fun to ride or even safe.

Insist on a test ride before considering buying the 950. If it does not fit go for the 1100. Nothing corners worse then a bike that is the wrong size for you.
