girls, if a guys write you a haiku (poem), is that sweet or weird?

I wrote a haiku (a short poem) for my gf, not so sure if i should give it to her.
Do u think guys writin poetry is weird, or not?? we've been goin out for like 4 months now, we havent gotton too serious, do u think its justified?? thanks
I was thinkin either:

Like the crimson sun,
Red of hair and pale of skin,
Words cannot describe

Or

When compared to you,
Beauty and wisdom become
Words rendered worthless

I personally think it is SWEET, i mean you took time out just to write her a poem.It just shows you thinking about her! Definatly give it to her.

It would be easier to answer this if you posted the poem..

However, I think it would be sweet and it would give her something to remind her of you. A guy once wrote me a letter when we were dating and even though we are not together anymore, I still have the letter because I thought it was really special.

As long as it is not too cliche or sappy, I'm sure she'll love it

Poetry is fine, trust me, though don't give Haikus lol, stay away from the short stuff and long stuff, go about mid range 6-12 lines. Also Haikus are be definition a short poem about nature, so yea not the best idea there.
Just remember, you don't want to look like your lazy or dumb, but at the same time don't want to bore her to death.

I've personally written at least one poem for each girl I've dated.

I think guys that write poems for girls they like is extremely sweet. Not creepy at all. Go for it.

Depends on the girl, but please say you did the haiku right. I hate when people screw up haikus.

Make sure it's 5 - 7 - 5 syllables.

I think it's sweet! even if she's not into poetry she'll appreciate the fact that you took time to do something for her and it shows you were actually thinking of her
