If you don't mind buying off the internet i would recommend play.com or laptops-direct.co.uk.

If you want to buy from the high street, the best main retail store is PC World, but there is a brilliant small independent chain called Novatech, who really are excellent.

If i was buying for myself, id use Novatech or play.com.

Better go in for Vaio or Dell or Asus.Acer,HP and other laptops r cheap and but don't even come close to give a good performance.
