Can anyone tell me how to shrink denim, if it's possible?

I got some skinny jeans today, but they're slightly too big for my waist and legs, so I wanted to know how to shrink them slightly, does anyone know how?

Put them on and sit in a bathtub of hot water util they are thoroughly soaked. Keep them on after you get out until they are completely dry.

Wash them in hot water and dry on high heat for atleast an hour and a half and they should shrink. But, check to see if they are mostly cotton, atleast 70%, or else they wont shrink much at all. Hope that helped!

wash them and dry them, everytime you wear them. The denim will stretch, after you wear it more than once.
Extra info: Drying them shrinks them, so if you have a pair that is tight or fits perfectly dont dry them in the dryer, just hang them up.
