I bought a 1988 Kawasaki 300 Bayou & I am not getting any fire to the spark

plug. Where do I look next? the guy I bought it from said it died & was acting like it ran out of gas. I took the carburetor off & cleaned it. It was plugged up & had water in it. I put it back together but now I don't have any fire at the plug. Where does it get it's spark from? Where do I look next?

If the carburetor had water in it, did you check your tank while you were at it?
To check for spark just work your way back, plug, plug wires, coil, coil wire, tight connections, battery.
