Nothing to apologise for...the papers retraction does not mean they are innocent...and to be honest I found the pro-McCann lobby far more abusive than the Anti-McCanns..as your second paragraph adequately confirms..

apologising for what exactly - suggesting that it is NOT ok to leave three children alone whilst you go off and stuff your faces? You actually think that is right?

I am waiting for the McCanns to apologise to Maddie's memory and her brother and sister for leaving them all in a vulnerable position. Of course they won't because these deluded wannabe celebrities have actually stated that they have done nothing wrong - god help them.

I wasn't anti-McCann but I am definitely leaning that way now. The words money grabbing spring to mind. And I won't be contributing anything coz I'm off out tomorrow & I need to pay for a babysitter.

Don't know what to think really. I don't see how anyone who goes out leaving their children alone in a foreign country can expect not to get bad press. Also I think they helped to create the media circus that later started to turn against them.

pernicious may be lost on us, but obvisously responsible parenting is lost on you....are you honestly trying to tell us its ok to leave 3 kids unattended,whether it be here or in a foreign country...would you leave your kids alone...do you have kids.? the effort they put into their media campaign would not look so bad if they had made half that effort looking for their wee daughter....who is the real victim in all this, not her parents

Not anti or pro mcanns, just find it a bit weird that they have taken the time to start litigation against the news papers when their efforts could have been better spent looking for their daughter.they could have confronted the papers at any time.But still none of this would have been needed if they hadn't left their child alone in the first place.

I don't think it's very wise to apologise to the Main suspects in an on-going crime investigation.Especially when nobody actually knows the facts yet - even you.
