Is it possible to sense something thrown or being swung at you with your eyes close or..

...blindfolded? just wanted to know because I can sense where someone is walking or tip toeing I can even hear them breathe if it's quiet enough but despite all of that it didn't stop me from getting hit in the head with a pillow from across the room by my girlfriend why is it I didn't sense it coming or is it even possible?
if it's possible how can I train myself to sense this and defend against it?
no I dont wear glasses but the tape thing sounds cool

The reason you can sense that someone is in the room is because there is always some amount of noise in ever space, no matter how small. So your ear can pick up small differences when th sounds bounce off of things slightly differently, but it would be very hard to pick that up during the brief tim that something is air born, but I suppose it could be possible if you had super-human hearing, like a bat.
