I saw the lady once again today,
A comely lass with alabaster cheek,
I asked her to come home with me and stay
And just as soon she turned and did not speak.
But I, obsessed, then thought her steps to trace
And speaking to her only heard a moan,
Then from a different vantage glimpsed her face…
My beauty had become a withered crone.
How could this be, when both were dressed the same
And in my quest she’d never left my sight?
I had a thought for which I have no name ―
The two are one; could this strange thought be right?
My beauty has two faces seen as one
And I will love her ‘til my days are done.
Actually, this one as well as the one stolen from me earlier today are my original compositions... loser!
Now bill him! It's your professional duty... lol
