95 toyota camry gas pedal feels heavy?

ok so the camry hit a cub (driver rear side wheel got bent), and was left for about 2 months, in that period of time i drove my parents 2005 odyssey, so I finally had the time to go the a repair shop and get it fixed. the mechanics just did some adjustment and changed the wheel, I also asked them to change the oil and the fuel filter. now I just need to get it alligned as its badly off. SO the the thing is when i started driving it, i felt I had to put a lot of force into moving the gas pedal, it just felt sooo heavy, I dont think the allignment would fix that. what could be the cause? is it because i have been driving the odyssey and got used to that, or because it was left for so long? or is something bad....

    thanks in advance
