I have a yamaha 1100 V-star .I want a bike with more room and power and better ride ,is this a good choice?

Brother-in-law has one and loves it. A better recommendation is that my sister loves it.

I don't know how much more room your going to get really.
Power you will certainly get and they are a great smooth ride!!
