I've looked and looked, but I can't find anything on this specifically. I have a terrible pain in my left hand, on the top, that runs directly below my index finger to the top of my wrist. It hurts more when I fully extend my index finger. However, it's also painful to type (which I have a lot of typing to do today), and probably will hurt a ton when I play guitar (which I also play guitar frequently).

I guess it also feels like I have a weakened grip.

Is this potentially carpal tunnel or arthritis? The pain just happened (sudden onset) this morning while I was working (I am a writer -- I type a lot), and it kind of feels like a bone is out of place on the top of my hand.

Any insight, guesses, or knowledge would be appreciated.

Thanks.
