*10 POINTS!* Which is best: 1990 Nissan Pulsar, or 1995 Suzuki Swift?

I am deciding whether to purchase either one of these cars.. second hand. They both claim to be in great condition, both automatic, four door etc.

Which *IN GENERAL* is a better car? Less likely to break down/have problems. Which is cheaper to maintain/fix up? Which is cheaper on petrol etc?

    Thanks!

Swift. The Pulsars are ok cars, but I'd pick the Swift over the Pulsar any day. A Swift is lighter than a Pulsar, and uses a smaller engine, so it should use less fuel. Both are much the same for reliability and parts availability/cost. The Swift would maybe be a bit easier to find parts for, because Holden Barinas of that year were just rebadged Swifts.

I wouldn't get an automatic, but that's just personal preference.
