What are some good things and bad things about them?
I am looking at one and yes it would be my first bike, it must have been taken good care of it only has 15,000 miles on it

Good things first: If well maintained, nice bike! If not, a piece of poop.

But that could be any 15 year old bike!

First thing is, the bike is old, the technology since then has increased the performance level dramatically. But if your asking how it runs, they run ok,they are pretty easy to maneuver. If this is your first bike,its a good choice,take it out ride the crap out of it then get you something bigger.
