it? Insert other SIM card first? The AT&T rep told me to first put in a different SIM card, then I will be prompted to enter the unlock code.Is this correct? I am traveling to Ecuador and plan to use a SIM to open a prepaid account when I get there, and I want to be sure this is the correct procedure before I get there. Can anyone help here?

Hi you can unlock your Motorola by unlock code ,unlocking via unlock code is the safe way to unlock..you can try Simpleunlocking.com and get unlock code for your Motorola c168i and get it unlocked..
