A phone locked to sprint/verizon, will it work with a rogers prepaid after unlocking it?

    Hey guys,
If I bought a phone that's locked to At&t/Verizon/Sprint or another carrier, Can I unlock it and use a rogers prepaid service with that phone, Will it work?

You could use an unlocked AT&T or T-Mobile phone with Rogers Wireless, but not a Sprint or VZW device. This is because Sprint and VZW use something called CDMA network technology, which is not compatible with the GSM technologies that Rogers, AT&T, T-Mobile, and the rest of the world use.

You could unlock an AT&T phone and everything will work, or a T-Mobile phone and everything BUT 3G will work, you can still use data with 2G. Verizon and Sprint phones don't use sim cards so you can't use them with Rodgers, only a CDMA carrier who will FLASH them to their network, like cricket.
