The Lake House (Remake of Siworae/Il Mare)

I saw this movie oepning night, and the audience really seemed to like it--they even clapped at the end. (Of course, a majority of us looked to be single women!)
I just really think, despite it's supernatural trappings, that it had a very natural feel and pace to it; it doesn't have all those hambone cliches and contrivances that so many movie romances have today. It was just nice to see too adults fall in love and yearn for each other, and not ahve all that other "WE have to stay apart to get the Money" or "WE have to stay together to keep the condo" crap to it.
And add me to those who think this is one of K's best performanes--he was so aalive in it--he just seemed connected to the role in a away I haven't seen him be in awhile. The way he stares--ugh, too cute.

Fave scene--the whole porch talk, and the dance. It just seemed like a very natural conversation and connection 'tween two people.

To get this film, you really have to give into the conceit of it, and think too much. There are quite a few "Huh?--Why don't they just do [that]?" moments to it, but you just kinda have to give yourself to the movie and its romance.
