My Mazda Rx8 seems slower than usual. It is much slower through the gears. It used to have a surge of power at 6000 rpm but doesn't do it any more. Any help will be appreciated.
The rpm still maxes out at 9000 rpm. It just takes longer to get there.

The throttle sensor may be bad. If it is out the car will still go through the gear, but the RPM will max out around 2-3000 RPM. Good luck

Check the air filter . It may be dirty or blocked. It can make a big difference.
