I bought an 2008 C50T in September. I typically top-off the tank at 125 miles. It's been averaging 54 mpg in mixed but mostly country highway riding. Last tank came in just under 60 mpg, probably a fluke or coincidence of conditions.

I bought a used 2006 c50 a few weeks ago from a private owner. Told him that I have been averaging 30 -32 mpg and he said thats about right. I don't think so, it is only an 800cc, and my old bike was a vulkan 500 cc and I was averaging 48-50mpg.
Is he full of it? I have a Chrysler 300 automobile(big car) with a 6 cylinder engine and am getting 25mpg.
Please let me know the average for this c50 boulevard, and what I should tell him.
Thanks,
George
Something is wrong there, unless you're not using anything above 3rd gear, or putting E85 in the tank by mistake. Even guys who replace the air filer and put straight pipes on usually don't go below 44mpg or so. I'd have a dealer test the FI system.
Thanks for your help Bud.
I sent this as a private message and only got one reply. Should I send messagages in a different way. This is all new to me.

anybody know about how much is left in the tank when light starts flashing. I haven't really paid attn. to mine.
I always use the trip meter to monitor distance to fill-up. My blinky light comes on between 135-140 miles. I fill it at 150 and it usually takes 3.1-3.3 gallons.
The blinky light indicates one gallon left, if it goes to solid, you got about a 1/2 gallon left.
depending how i push it i can range from 45 up to 56 and the wind
I estimated my fuel economy on highway (well probably 90% highway and 10% city) as 55 mpg for C50
I was getting around 45 mpg's then suddently it dropped to between 38 and 41, I don't know what happened.
2005 C50.
