2003 dodge durango ticking and whining noises?

So I have a 2003 Durango, and have had MANY MANY problems the last few years. I've always had a whining noise when I turn (more noticeable when turning slowly) however, tonight I made a sharp 3 point turn and I noticed a loud ticking noise as I was turning left. Does anyone have any answers???

The whining noise when turning is usually low power steering fluid, I would check it and add a fluid with conditioner/ stop leak in it . The clicking sound could be a constant velocity joint it the front axle. This is a job for a mechanic, however, anyone with a fair amount of knowledge, tools, and a repair manual can do it
