New customer in need of a few answers and coments.

So I got my system installed today. BTW for the record I can't see any difference between the HD quality compared to Starchoice. right now I'm watching a simsub of the BSC Football game on Fox E HD. Loving the PVR compared to the 530.

Where are the smart cards? I'm receiving programming but have no cards. are they a thing of the past in the new receivers?

Why is the sound so low? I have to turn my AV receiver up quite a bit higher than I would with *C.

Overall I am happy with my setup of the 9242 and 6141. BTW I have tried to move my EHD from one receiver to the other and it wouldn't let me. I have it formated for the 9242 and tried to move it to the 6141, then it told me I had to re-format the drive. Has anyone else tried this with success?

The cards on on board, but you will get one when/if they do a card swap in the future

I believe the HD's are "married" to the receiver, and cant' be swapped.

You might want to go into the menu and change the Audio output to "Line Mode" I believe that gives you a somewhat louder audio.

Also you might want to check if your receiver is on PCM or Dolby Digital.
