Arthur: No we can't do it, Olive and I have not performed together for too long.
Olive: Well that's true.
Stan Butler: I was only asking you to do the foxtrot, not bleedin' 'Last Tango in Paris'.

I think this is a good film, it's not perfect but it is enjoyable.
Not a brilliant film but I always remember first watching it when I was a kid and perhaps that's why I'm still fond of it today.
I actually went to the Pontins where it was filmed when I was at school. I never realised at the time though. It was only later that I recognised it.

You'll probably dream about her now
Its good fun - the highlights for me are Blakey teaching dance, and Arthur Mullard finding a toilet in the bushes - "They think of everything ! !"

ITV must be slipping, they haven't put any OTB films on for weeks!
Always makes me laugh, when they are creeping about in the dark with tins of paint & the toilet.
Still the work of genius compared to the crap they usualy wheel out on BBC1 & 3.
i'm actually wanted to see this movie.
my mother and sister are extras in it somewhere
the family were on holiday where ever this movie was filmed. they where in some cafe/outside decking or something - and the Producer came round asked people to leave the area because of the camera crew wanting to film in that area. my mother refused - telling this guy that because she was on holiday and had paid to be there - she was going no where. the Producer agreed with her and reached a compramise - and offered my mum and sister to be in the background during that scene.
I used to go to a caravan site that was just by the bridge that they drive over, where Stan and Olives cases fall into the river...near Rhuddlan Castle, so it brings back a lot of childhood memories for me too.
