Thread: Failed MEPS Drug Test?

I failed my drug test @ MEPS on 12/12/08 because my recruiter decided to rush me to MEPS when he knew I smoked weed. I was clean for about 3 weeks when he sent me. He told me to lie about it when I got up there but I was honest instead. Now my recruiter wont help me out with any questions I have about re-enlisting. I heard 2 different stories, I heard I had to wait 6 months and I've heard I have to wait 45 days? What is the most up to date Army policy?

If this was your first time to pop on the test, it is a 45 day wait......if your recruiter is treating you like that, it may be time to look for another recruiter or service. Do not let them bully you or intimidate you into making decisions you dont want to. Your job wont disappear, there isnt "just 1 slot left". Check EVERYTHING they tell you. I like to think I was pretty honest when I was out there, but I saw some shady recruiting practices and some kids suffered for it.They will always need someone, so you are the one in control...........don't forget it.

So hit em up in 45 days, and donm't smoke anymore, you'll be golden

Go see another recruiter and lay off the drugs.
