It's very stange. I felt compelled to get out my "King & I " cd out on Tuesday, hadn't played it for yonks, then I heard next day that she had died.

    A great actress, R.I.P. Deborah

They were wonderful together in "The Sundowners" which I would say is her best performance. Apparently Deborah Kerr herself always believed that she should have won the Oscar for that performance and only lost out due to Liz Taylor's throat op which sealed her win for "Butterfield 8"

As others have said before me....a true star and a wonderful actress!

I love An Affair to Remember and I was saddened to hear about her death. I'm a big silver screen and classic film fan and unfortunately its not been a great time for me and others like me over the past 10 years.

Although "The Sundowners" is my favourite, I'd like a mention for "King Solomon's Mines" and "The Prisoner of Zenda", too .....

Superb actress, lovely lady ..... they don't make 'em like that anymore .....

    Deborah Kerr 1921-2007

She starred in one of my all-time favourite movies: 'Black Narcissus'. She was absolutely radiantly beautiful in that.

Wonderful film about a small group of nuns trying to establish a convent in an old harem palace high in the Himalayas, and all the problems they encounter. And no miraculous happy ending, either.
